Multi-functional railway station in Novy Urengoy is open to passengers
A grand opening of a multi-functional railway station took place in Novy Urengoy. The building with the area of 23.8 thous. sq m and the capacity of 300 people a day combines the features of road and railway stations.
The first floor of the building has a combined passenger hall, furnished with natural materials, including stone, mined in the Polar Urals. It provides convenient storage compartments, luggage compartments and a ticket office next to the trade and public catering zones.
On the second floor of the station, there is a snack bar and a waiting room, including for people with children. The third floor of the building is occupied by administrative and technical premises.
The station square has parking lots for passengers’ cars, taxis, as well as shuttle and private buses. The platform is paved with granite tiles.
Thanks to modern engineering solutions, there is a smart control system implemented, including a CCTV subsystem, a fire alarm system, lighting and climate control systems. The work of all engineering systems, optimal management, emergency situations to localize a possible accidents can be done in the automatic mode.
The construction of the new station building was carried out within the framework of the targeted investment program of the Okrug, involving funds of Gazprom PJSC.
